The garden beds are all completed; front, side, back, bushes, trees…. DONE, DONE and DONE! The dirt pile is just about ready to be leveled and we are DONE with the mulch piles! My receipts are all scanned and I am ready to get our deposit back. I am so happy I could scream it to the world… DONE!  The major projects (landscape and porch) that have taken up soooooooo much of our time and money are complete. It’s been a long haul and as I put those red checkmarks on my to do list I get this feeling of accomplisment and my body just relaxes with relief. I actually feel like I got a part of my life back this weekend and I can now move on to bigger and better things to come….do I hear a vacation calling?? We will always have on going projects but I am content to know they will be on a much smaller scale!

And to finish up the weekend we finally finished the shed. No more tippy toes for this short lady! We used to store the shovels in the roof of the adjoining shed. Here’s what we did. Even though I loved the weathered look of the shed the wood had to be painted it was warping in the rain! To save on costs we picked up utility hooks from the dollar store and screwed them to a piece of wood the length of the shed. Then screwed the piece of wood with the hooks to the back of the shed wall.
